Reaction to the Bradbury Article (There Will Come Soft Rain):

What the article “There Will Come Soft Rain” describes is an aftermath of a nuclear explosion. Fire everywhere, buildings and vehicles destroyed, and even the citizens whereabouts wee nowhere left to be seen again. Only the memories will pass on like the kids playing catch or the father mowing his lawn. However, even after all of this craziness of this disaster, there is still one house that still remains: The McClellan’s house.

The house does pretty much everything that other people use throughout there daily lives like technology that reminds the parents to clock in for their job to preventing their kids from entering a certain part of the house without a password. This is because that Bradbury made technology that was similar to the technology that was used as of today.

Technology has become even more advanced that makes everybody’s lives easier like iPhones and access to Google. However, the more that technology advances throughout the decades, the more that people need to rely on it. In the article, “There Will Come Soft Rain,” the people in the story relied on the technology, but not a whole lot. Even though they had their house to care for them, it did not help during the time of the nuclear explosion.

There Will Come Soft Rain was a very interesting and shocking article to read about because it is very important that technology that we have today can be very reliable to us in the near future, but not to the point that it will end up destroying humanity.
