I mean lets be honest, no one really reads the Terms of Service, they just click accept and move on. I never read the Terms of Service because it’s very long to read and I don’t really have time to read an entire agreement based on the website that you are using. When you do agree to the Terms of Service, however, you are agreeing that some of the information that you put into your profile or whatever you watch on a certain platform like Youtube, advertisers can collect a bit of your information to make ads more relevant to you. The thing is though, you must accept to the user agreement on the terms of service in order to actually use the service and if you are found violating the sites terms of service, you can be permanently banned from the site and you can’t make another account. For example, if your Youtube content either violates their community guidelines or your video gets copyright claimed, you know the saying, “Three strikes and you’re out!” your channel gets terminated and you can’t make any other accounts with the service ever again. This is why even though we constantly just ignore the Terms of Service, it’s always best to know what the service is going to do with your data.
