What we can best describe the Internet is a huge network across the entire Earth that allows us to share a whole bunch of information like never before. The internet has allowed a whole lot of people across the world to spread their ideas, knowledge, and content through a bunch of social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. As long as you have a compatible device, you can access the Internet pretty much anywhere.

Sometimes, some people confuse the Internet with the World Wide Web (www.) because with the World Wide Web, this is where you can access information that you need to know. Also, the internet is known as a “network of networks” which means that it can connect to multiple devices. There are different varieties of internets that are provided by internet service providers like Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and DISH which all use a different mode of networks to connect multiple devices. You also having gaming networks that allow you to play online and get exclusive deals on certain video games such as Playstation Plus, Xbox Live, Nintendo Switch Online, and Steam which gives you a variety of games to play online to either play solo or team up with friends.

The best part about what I like about the Internet is the fact that you can join certain communities online to talk about certain topics and make friends along the way. Also, we can’t forget about memes as well because the meme community is a lot of fun because the amount of content that is on there is mind blowing.

The thing that does kind of scare me about the internet is that some people in the world can use the internet to hack or blackmail people to try and get money or bitcoin. Even major companies have been hacked like Twitter was massively breached over the summer in which the hacker got into the main database and hacked into verified users accounts like Elon Musk to promote his bitcoin scam all over Twitter. Luckily, he was arrested a couple of weeks later. However, thanks to Internet safety measures, there was the introduction of two-factor authentication that allows users to double secure their account by making you sign in and then the provider sends you a code that you have to type into a box saying that it is really you signing into your account. It is very scary seeing your account getting hacked, but as long as you have a strong password and two-factor authentication on, everything will be alright.
